Wireless Internet Protection at Public Places

We didn't have a forum designed for this type of question so I thought I would put it here.

John and I will be moving to Oregon come October.  We do all our banking on-line.  Is there a way to use the Internet at public places (such as the campgrounds we will be staying at) and do our on-line banking but have it encrypted or secured if the public place's Internet service is not protected?  I hope that makes sense

I have never used them but here are two that I found. Either one should do the trick for you but if you are still worried about them do a search and see if there is anything negative that shows up.
